Mission Statement
Schools Offer Support (SOS) serves members of our Birmingham Public Schools community through outreach efforts, financial support, and volunteer activities. SOS is committed to helping those in need and teaching students that community matters.
Schools Offer Support (SOS) is a service organization in which parents and students work together to build a stronger community through acts of kindness. SOS supports a vast array of community needs. Some examples are:

Non-perishable pantry boxes and grocery gift cards

Child care assistance up to $100 per month, per child

Assistance with utility and medical bills

Annual Season of Giving initiative providing holiday gift cards to families in need

Leaf raking for seniors in our community

Barbara and Sheldon Weisberg Laptop Scholarship awarded to select Seaholm and Groves college-bound seniors annually
Respecting family privacy is paramount; all needs are filled anonymously.
